Designed for a homeowner with a demanding and fast-paced lifestyle, this 960 sq ft residence at Margaret Ville was conceived as a space that encourages slowing down, disconnect and return to a sense of calm.
Rather than relying on a singular statement piece, the design creates its atmosphere through a carefully composed material and colour palette. Warm timber tones, earthy neutrals and tactile finishes establish a sense of softness and familiarity, while darker accents add depth and contrast. The restrained palette allows natural light and the surrounding greenery to become part of the interior experience, subtly shifting the mood throughout the day.
Spatially, the home was shaped around the rituals of everyday living. Storage is integrated seamlessly into the space to reduce visual clutter, while curves are introduced to soften transitions and create a more fluid sense of movement through the home.
